Amazingly it’s that time of year again, when it’s the Festival Of Quilts up at the NEC, run by www.twistedthread.com. This is the second year (I believe) where there is no gala dinner, which I did enjoy, even if I did complain about the hotel it was held in and their appalling price of drinks!
Anyway, havent decided which day I’ll go there, be in Thursday or Friday. I might do a sweep up visit on the Saturday. I’m always astounded with the quality of the quilts on show, especially those that win their group listings.
Meanwhile, I brought some jelly rolls in a sale – down from £12 each to £4 each. Started playing with them, and hadnt realised how much fabric was actually in a strip! I have been casually playing around with the strips the last week or so and still trying to work out my edges.
