another few weeks without an update. Lots of things seemingly conspiring to stop me – my computer died at the beginning of the month and I’ve been so busy working all apparent hours god sends that last Thursday was the first time I had the chance to get it into the computer hospital. Let’s see how long it has to stay there before I get it back to rebuild. Of course it’ll mean I’ve lost all the stuff held on my harddrive that I hadnt burnt to CD, but that’s mainly limited to stuff I can get back off the internet (free downloadable patterns for instance).
Lack of computer means that when I am home, I am doing a lot more reading rather than having the stitching taking up the free time. This is because I tend to do my stitching when watching the TV, and the programs on have been poor or simply not to my liking. That and the fact I’m tired sends me to bed early, where I get some reading in before I conk out for the night.
So, still working on “The Quiltmaker”, but have run out of some threads. Went to pick some up in the local Beatties store, but of course they have been taken over by House of Fraser, and now only stock Anchor – naturally I’ve run out of DMC. Bugger. Therefore I’m going to go back on line to find the colours that I want.
